Paypal has announced its intention to levy fees to account holders who do no meet its required activity levels. It is classified accounts that have had no access or transactions a fee of £12 per month from December. The payment will be deducted – in total or in part – from Paypal account balances. If the financial services business is using this tactic to reduce the number of accounts it holds for customers then it is going the right way about it as consumers are closing their accounts in droves.
