Freemans is targeting the wedding market with the launch of a budget priced range with a wedding dress for under £60.
The dress is part of the retailer’s newly launched ‘Wedding Shop’ and includes over 800 options of ‘aisle style’ with a number of other bridal choices, complemented with bridesmaid dresses from £45 to £80 and grooms and groomsmen’s suits from £100. Mother of the bride is also catered for with over 100 options starting at £30.
Linda Quinn, chief merchandising officer, Freemans said: “With the cost of the average wedding still over £18,000, an affordable wedding dress is one way couples can stay richer, nor poorer.”
“The responses to the new range have been phenomenal with hundreds of budget-conscious brides rushing to buy our designer dupes within days of the collection being released.”
And while many labels charge more for maternity dresses, the collection ensures there is no ‘bump tax’ so pregnant brides are not penalised.
Linda added: “Becoming parents is expensive enough so we worked hard to ensure there was no bump tax for pregnant brides. Our maternity gowns are the same price point as standard dresses to keep the range affordable and inclusive.”
Freemans also offers an ‘always on’ free delivery and returns promise, underpinned by a variety of ways to pay.
