Amazon is to reduce its global corporate headcount by 14,000 as part of an effort to reduce bureaucracy within its organisation, whilst moving resources towards AI implementations. The move will impact an undisclosed number of UK office workers.
Beth Galetti, SVP people experience & technology, at Amazon, told employees that the reductions are a continuation of its work to get stronger. The cuts are understood to be targeted towards HR, operations, devices and services, including AWS.
