Castore is reportedly considering a potential sale after attracting unsolicited interest from other sportswear businesses.
According to Sky News, the company is assessing its options, although there is no certainty that a transaction will follow. Castore declined to comment when approached by the broadcaster.
Founded in 2016 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, the business has expanded through performance clothing and partnerships with professional teams across football, rugby, cricket and motorsport.
Its growth has attracted investors including Sir Andy Murray, The Raine Group, Hanaco Ventures, and Felix Capital. A funding round in 2023 valued the business at approximately £950m.
Castore subsequently broadened its portfolio through the acquisition of heritage clothing brand Belstaff from INEOS in 2025.
In May 2026, the company announced £90m in debt funding from lenders including BNP Paribas, HSBC and Lloyds to support further growth.
The reported interest comes as Castore marks its tenth anniversary, having transformed from a sportswear challenger into a business spanning team partnerships, eCommerce and physical stores.
