Gerald Corbett, Woolworths’ Group chairman, will step down
from the board following the AGM on 6th June after serving two,
three year terms. He will be succeeded by Richard North, a
former chief executive of Intercontinental Hotels Group and group
finance director of Bass plc and The Burton Group plc.
Meanwhile, the group’s marketing director, Stephen
Robertson has left the business, he said, “I have
greatly enjoyed working with Trevor [Bish-Jones] and the
board and having completed much of my original brief now is a
good moment to move on.”
