DSG International, the parent company of electricals
merchants PC World, Dixons and Currys, has issued its second
profit warning in four months, notes The Times.

Congress in Spain, the furniture retailer’s chief executive,
Anders Dahlvig, said that “it is an opportunity because
in bad times the competition is hurting as well.”

HSBC’s plan to begin replacing the Maestro cards of 10
million customers with Visa cards later this year could cost
retailers an additional £25 million a year in card charges,
reports Startups, citing the British Retail
Consortium.

More than half of all UK websites “are vulnerable to
cybercriminals,” according to ihotdesk, referring to a web application security
report by NTA Monitor.
