websites,” which according to The Times, “are now commonplace in
Britain”. Its article looks at a few examples targeting
HSBC and Egg, among others, and even provides tips for creating
a protest site of your own.

“Cash-back sites and so-called aggregators, which
compare prices at the click of a mouse, are delivering a major
boost to online shopping traffic,” Reuters reports. The article says that
price competitiveness and ease of comparing prices are among
the top 10 reasons consumers shop online. Among the companies
cited are Kelkoo, Shopping.com, Pricerunner,
Quidco and Greasypalm.co.uk.

“UK credit card and debit card fraud on the internet is
much greater than previous estimates,” notes The Independent, citing assorted studies
and a BBC News investigation.
