After posting strong financial results yesterday multititle

Williams and Jacamo, enjoyed positive press coverage
in national as well as local media. The Telegraph wrote:

in the region this year, as it looks to continue a run of
success

End of an era at Empire: The first batch of
workers at Bradford-based Empire Stores start their
final shift today. The Telegraph & Argos writes that a skeleton
staff, including stock controllers, will remain working until
August, after the current and last Empire Stores mail order
catalogue expires.

Home Retail Group has announced its final results for the
year 1 March 2008 revealing record profits for Argos but a
struggling Homebase. Sharecast adds that DIY chain Homebase has
started the year weaker than anticipated, with poor weather
conditions playing their part in dampening demand.
