Mamas & Papas, a cataloguer/retailer of
nursery products, has opened its fifth Middle Eastern store, in
Doha, Qatar, notes the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. The
£130 million company has 32 UK stores as well.
Another cataloguer/retailer, apparel merchant
Travelling Light, sent redundancy notices to 25
employees at its head office and store near Penrith and its
warehouse at Hackthorpe, according to Cumbria’s News & Star. Travelling Light was
acquired out of administration by OR Clothing in July.
Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson will appear in the
b-to-b catalogue of cash-and-carry chain Makro.
It’s part of Makro’s push to sell more fresh produce to pubs,

Office Depot is expanding its focus on print
management for businesses, reports PrintWeek. This would include handling
labels, bags, business cards and other stationery items for
retailers, banks and other businesses.
Watch out, Tesco: Bloomberg reports that
Asda wants to expand its nonfood offering
online by more than 750,000 products, following in the
successful footsteps of Tesco. It also intends to launch a
1,000-page print catalogue later this year.
