Revenue at Park Group for the year ended 31st March
totalled £250.5 million, up 11 per cent from the previous
fiscal year. Operating profit was down 17.9 per cent, to £2.8
million, but pretax profit climbed by 24 per cent. Revenue from
its Christmas Saving division rose 15.4 per cent, to £165.5
million. Sales from its voucher business, which includes High
Street Gift Vouchers, rose 4.2 per cent, to £85 million.
Toys merchant Hamleys increased its annual turnover by
13.1 per cent, to £44.2 million for the year ended 31st
March. But an increase in its interest payments means it ended
the fiscal year with a loss of £2.7 million. And according
to Computing, it has had to make nearly
one-third of its IT staff redundant.
Gardening marketers Blooming Direct and Emorsgate
Seeds are doing a tie-in with Jordans Cereals, reports
