There’s no stopping ASOS: In its pre-close trading
update, the fashion etailer reported a 104 per cent growth in
annual sales, to £165 million for the 12 months ended 31st
March, and said it expects profit before tax to be
“slightly ahead of expectations”. Sales for the four
weeks to 24th April, meanwhile, were up 80 per cent from last
year. It also plans to launch its ASOS Life online community next
month; the site is currently in beta-testing.

Brown” is the headline of The Times’ article on the continued growth
of the multititle mailer, which specializes in plus-size
apparel and catering to mature customers.

Womenswear manufacturer/marketer Slimma is shutting
its direct and high-street division to focus exclusively on
manufacturing. Up to 18 workers will be made redundant, the
Staffordshire/South Chelsea Sentinel reports. Slimma’s brands include
Splendour lingerie.
