Flying Brands group finance director Graham Norton has
resigned, effective 31st May, “to join a FTSE 250
company,” according to the company. Group financial
controller Anthony Gee will replace him.
Retail giant PPR will eliminate 672 jobs from its
La Redoute mail order division, Reuters reports. The company didn’t say
whether any of the jobs will come from its UK division, which
includes the Daxon and Vertbaudet titles.
“We boobed!” declares Marks & Spencer in
an ad campaign announcing that it would no longer charge more for
larger-size bras. A Facebook group, Busts 4 Justice, had
protested the higher prices as “blatant
discrimination”, even though M&S had earlier said that the
additional £1.50-£2 per bra covered the costs of
additional materials and construction for the larger bras. (For
