Hoping to increase online sales, John Lewis
is trialling a “click and collect” service that will
enable web shoppers to pick up their purchases at one of sister
company Waitrose’s 213 stores, The Guardian reports.
Ethical-fashion etailer Adili, which
recently rebranded as
Ascension, grew its annual sales 56 percent,
to £552,000 for the year ended 30th April. Its loss before
tax grew as well: 20 percent, to £1.9 million, due to
lower margins resulting from stock clearance and increased
investment in the business.
Asda is launching what it describes as
“the UK’s first mainstream range of traditional Asian
clothing”, according to The Telegraph. The range, which includes
khurta tunics and churidar trousers, is available in selected
stores and on Asda’s George apparel website.
Seeds of Italy, Chiltern Seeds, Thompson & Morgan,
Garden Trading, and Harrod
Horticulture are among the cataloguers included in
The Times’ roundup of the 50 best gardening
websites.
