Woolworths might sell its high street business for
£1, reports The Times. Woolies has confirmed it is in
preliminary talks with restructuring specialist Hilco, which
could lead to the troubled retailer selling its chain of 800
shops for a nominal sum depending on how much of its debt Hilco
is willing to assume.
Extreme Group, the parent company of the extreme-sports
lifestyle etailer Extremepie.com, has acquired UrbanSurfer.co.uk, a 13-year-old surf and
snowboarding apparel and accessories business. A refreshed and
revamped Urban Surfer website was launched this week.
