Clarks to permanently close some UK stores as it mulls new financing options

Clarks is set to permanently close a handful of its stores when their leases come up for renewal next month. Like many other retailers, it has opted to furlough thousands of store staff under the coronavirus job retention scheme. It is also understood to have drafted in help to examine how it can improve its future operations and return to profitability once the current store trading restrictions are lifted.
