Asda has appointed Ken Towle as retail director.

Towle joins from Nisa where he has been CEO since 2018. Prior to that, he spent 30 years in a variety of senior roles for Tesco in the UK and overseas. Also from Tesco is Kris Comerford will be joining the business in the summer as UK commercial director for packaged foods, fuel and tobacco products. Simon Gregg who heads Asda’s online operation joins the executive leadership team, as does Liza Evans who is managing director of George.
The changes will see Derek Lawlor depart and Asda chair Lord Stuart Rose said of this: “Regretfully, Derek Lawlor has decided to leave the business after six years, and he goes with our best wishes and thanks for the future. He has made a real and tangible difference to our business and we thank him for all he has done.”
