Whether inserted in the news media or coming in now that the postal service is operating after the Christmas break, it is catalogue season once more. Argos is leading the pack here with no less than eight Get Set for SALE catalogues (valid from 25th December) received via our newspapers plus two copies of its Get Set for FIT editions … but not far behind is DFS with seven “Christmas Specials” catalogues (this edition has closing offers ending on 6th January). We’ve received six Furniture Village editions – sale – everything reduced – and five bathstore Biggest Ever up to half price sale catalogues.
Just one copy of the easylife catalogue (via the Mail on Sunday), one Lands’ End SALE catalogue from the mail bag – Save up to 55%; a sale catalogue from Charlotte & Co also mailed promising up to 70 per cent off with free P&P for £45+ spend; the (anticipated) Winter 2014/2015 Only in Australia edition from Trailfinders (actually more of a mag than a brochure but no less compelling), and the superbly crafted D.T. Brown Fruit & Vegetables 2015 – Spring Planting Edition which at 190 pages inc 6pp cover is the one which several of our staffers will be itching to take home.
Catalogues, brochures, customer magazines – print reaches the parts that emails simply don’t !
