Steve Bennett, chief executive and founder of The Genuine Gemstone Company, has launched the Equal World Foundation (EWF) with Sir Richard Branson as patron. The charity will a TV shopping channel (Sky channel 652) to provide a route to market for social enterprises as well as a retail platform for the sale of mainstream products from which all profits will go to EWF. The charity will support improving health and education in deprived communities.
