Fanplayr opens two UK offices

Fanplayr has opened new offices in London and Manchester, ahead of what it anticipates will be ‘significant’ eCommerce revenue growth in the UK this year.

The company has announced that it’s already acquired four ‘major’ UK clients, and has confirmed three senior appointments to its growing UK team.

Fanplayr says it utilises machine learning and AI to analyse shoppers’ online behaviour, which businesses can personalise to increase their conversion rates and revenue.

The US-based company reported 100 per cent growth in 2019 prior to the pandemic, and revenue growth of 87 per cent in the second quarter of 2020.

The enormous surge in eCommerce during the last year prompted an acceleration of its global growth plans, including a rapid expansion in the UK. In Europe, where it has offices in Milan and Amsterdam, it has already experienced an increase in year-on-year revenue of 70 per cent.

Strategic agreements with key partners in the Nordics, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, are also understood to guarantee that Fanplayr’s capabilities, including its ‘Segmentation-as-a-Service’, are available across Europe and beyond.

Andy McNab (left) will lead the UK operation, becoming the company’s VP EMEA. McNab is an award-winning digital leader, who has led teams at Microsoft, AOL and Rocket Fuel.

Joining McNab are Dave Hendry and Jessica Biddle. Hendry is Fanplayr’s new regional sales director, having worked in senior positions at JOE Media and Rocket Fuel. Biddle becomes head of customer success, after previously leading and developing teams at MiQ and Centro.

McNab said “I’m thrilled to be onboard with Fanplayr and to have built such an exceptional team in Dave and Jessica during this exciting period of growth for Fanplayr. UK businesses have gained millions of new customers during the pandemic and they need us to help retain and understand them.

“In the last month alone, we have already acquired four major UK clients and further significant deals are in the pipeline to feed the expected growth. The new UK clients range from high-end fashion retailers to global software and also several trading agreements with advertising agencies.”
