Frasers has made a formal appointment of Mike Ashley as a consultant to the business he founded.

With Michael Murray at the helm of the group as chief executive, it is understood that Ashley will primarily act as an advisor on supply chain and operations issues.
It is however being suggested that the role will also focus on the myriad investment and acquisition activities of the group which are continuing apace. There will be no fees paid for Ashley’s services. Mike Ashley owns 69 per cent of Frasers Group.
