Joe Browns tops £110 million gross retail sales

Quirky mail-order and etailer Joe Browns has reported a 17 per cent rise in turnover and 9 per cent rise in EBITDA for the first quarter of the financial year, with gross retail sales rising by 10 per cent to over £110 million in the 2016 financial year.

The brand also successfully launched on the multi-platform retailer, QVC, exceeding forecast by over 61 per cent in September and over 89 per cent in November. Within the live show 2 lines performed at over £2,000 a minute, with one Jaquard Tunic taking over £3,000 a minute against a benchmark of £800 a minute.

The Leeds-based retailer which was founded 18 years ago puts these great results down to a strong handwriting and a constant focus on performance-based marketing.

MD Simon Brown said: “What sets us apart from the crowd are our distinctive, fun and flattering styles; different from anything else found on the high street. Our customers feel remarkable in our clothes and simply love wearing them day in day out.”

It is understood that international development and product range extension will be key to further growth.
