Littlewoods reshuffles board


Littlewoods has reorganised its main board to
“strategically align” the marketing and product
functions. A new role of trading director has been created,
overseeing sales and marketing as well as buying and
merchandising. David Inglis, currently group buying and
merchandising director moves to the new position, with sales and
marketing director David Briscoe leaving the business. In a
statement, chief executive Mark Newton-Jones thanked Briscoe for
his “extensive contribution” over the past 18 months
commenting that Littlewoods had begun to rebrand its name as
“a credible retail proposition in the eyes of the
consumer”.
