Yesterday the Bank of England cut interest rates another 0.25
per cent, to 5 per cent. For the most part, the experts rounded up
by The Guardian and The Times approved of the step-through some
are already calling for additional cuts.
On a happier note, chocolatier Thorntons created the
world’s largest box of chocolates-more than 16 ft tall and 11 ft
wide–in Leicester Square, London, to promote a new offering.
