Steve Johnson, former chief executive of Focus DIY, is taking
the helm of Woolworths, The Times reports. Johnson had also worked
at former Argos parent company Gus and at Asda.
“Sales on the high street have fallen for four of the
past five months, the worst spell for the retail sector since the
summer of 2005,” reports The Telegraph.
