Amazon is opening a warehouse that’s the size of 10
football pitches. The Daily Mail has pictures from the
largest warehouse in Britain, located near Swansea, south
Wales.

Findel has increased the provision for bad debts in its
home shopping division by £5m “in light of the
deteriorating economic climate”. It now expects profits
to be marginally lower than previously
anticipated.

Job cuts at German home shopping company Neckermann.de
are “hardly avoidable” said the company’s new chief
executive Martin Lenz. The article on Forbes.com also said that “several
thousand” items within Neckermann product offering were
loss-making, and that company was slimming down and cutting
back on the number of items it offers as it aims to return to
profit in 2010.
