Mamas & Papas, a cataloguer/retailer of
nursery products, has opened its fifth Middle Eastern store, in
Doha, Qatar, notes the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. The
£130 million company has 32 UK stores as well.

Another cataloguer/retailer, apparel merchant
Travelling Light, sent redundancy notices to 25
employees at its head office and store near Penrith and its
warehouse at Hackthorpe, according to Cumbria’s News & Star. Travelling Light was
acquired out of administration by OR Clothing in July.

Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson will appear in the
b-to-b catalogue of cash-and-carry chain Makro.

Asda wants to expand its nonfood offering
online by more than 750,000 products, following in the
successful footsteps of Tesco. It also intends to launch a
1,000-page print catalogue later this year.
