Components distributor Premier Farnell posted a
1 per cent increase in annual revenue, to £808.4 million for
the year ended 1st February and a 2 per cent increase in profit
before taxes, to £72.8 million. But the Financial Times quotes chief executive
Harriet Green as admitting that “December and January
were both quite brutal”.

Retailer/cataloguers Jack Wills and The White
Company are cited in a Guardian article about high-street
businesses that are actually thriving in the recession.

Catalogue Exchange, the trade association for print and
online cataloguers, has relaunched its website, www.catalogueexchange.co.uk. The new site includes
a news feed, forums, and a supplier directory.
