Freemans Grattan Holdings (FGH) is to cut a further 160
jobs in Bradford, this time at the company’s Listerhills
distribution centre, which employs approximately 700 staff.

The Telegraph & Argus writes that this is the
second major blow for the group’s workers, who were told in
February that 800 jobs would be lost following the closure of a Bradford call centre.

Ethical fashion etailer Adili posted a 56 per cent rise
in sales for the year ended 30th April. Despite this, EBITDA is
expected to come in below expectations after discounting hit
margins. Adili also said that the investment in a new
website-unveiled in November-impacted on earnings.

According to Verdict Research and quoted in several of the
national newspapers including the Financial Times and the Daily Mail, the collapse of Woolworths,
Zavvi and MFI last year has created £4 billion of new
business for the retailers that survive the recession.
