Debt-laden Findel has put its Kitbag brand up
for sale. The online seller of sport gear is “one of the
most profitable parts” of Findel’s eCommerce group,
according to Crain’s Manchester Business. Findel sold
its Letterbox children’s catalogue earlier this year to
the parent company of Hawkin’s Bazaar and shut down its
unsuccessful Cotswold Company home furnishings title.
Last week it announced that it is considering an equity issue
to raise cash.

Mike Hancox, chief executive of TV and online shopping firm
Ideal Home Shopping, was named chairman of soft-goods
brand Character World, reports the Manchester Evening News.
