Corgi Classics, the die-cast model manufacturer and
marketer, has been acquired by toy firm Hornby for
£7.5 million reports The Guardian. Hornby says it hopes it can
capitalise on the booming collectors’ market in toy cars.
Hornby chief executive Frank Martin commented, “We know
there is huge untapped demand out there.”

Jeweller, gifts and accessories retailer Oliver Bonas
is ramping up its retail presence and opening four new shops in
London. Property Week reports that the 22-strong
chain, which also operates oliverbonas.com, has taken out
15-year leases at £30,000-£100,000 a year.
