Shop Direct Group, which owns the rights to
the Woolworths name, has written a legal
letter to Alworths, requesting that it rethink its plans to
launch a chain of stores. According to the
Financial Times, Shop Direct is concerned the name is too
similar to Woolworths, and will “defend its
position” online as well as on the high street.
Talks between Royal Mail and the CWU have resumed in a bid to
stave off more postal strikes, reports the
Press Association.
