The powerhouse that is ASOS keeps steaming
along. For the six months to 30th September, sales rose 47
per cent from the same period of last year. The fashion etailer’s
international sales jumped 110 per cent during the same period, in
part because it added 56 countries to its list of countries it
ships to, bringing the total to 114. International sales now
account for 25 per cent of its total turnover.

Second-quarter online sales at Marks &
Spencer climbed 30 per cent, and international sales rose
9.6 per cent. UK sales increased 1.9 per cent, with like-for-likes
down 0.5 per cent, a smaller decline than expected.

“The UK has become the first major economy where
advertisers spend more on internet advertising than on television
advertising,” The Guardian reports.
