The Argos strike is back on after warehouse and distribution workers in
the Unite union rejected a pay rise of 4.1 per cent. Industrial
action is scheduled to take place until 5th August at the
Bridgwater, Basildon, Heywood and Magna Park distribution
centres.
Exeter’s Sportsman Gun Centre has acquired south
Wales-based firearms and accessories import/export and mail order
business D J Litt’s, which went into liquidation in May.
The new owners told the Express & Echo that the motive behind the
sale is to develop Sportsman Gun Centre beyond its mail order
and wholesale roots into new markets, including international
expansion.
