Retailer Next has acquired young fashion label
Lipsy for £17.4 million. According to the Daily Mail Lipsy’s founders, husband and
wife team Jeremy and Marcelle Stakol, took £3.5 million
from yesterday’s deal.

N Brown Group’s Shoe Tailor brand is investing in
adding video to its website and has hired Manchester-based film
production company PSAfilms to produce clips to promote the
company’s upcoming road show events in London and Manchester,
writes Crain’s Manchester Business.

The Telegraph recommends 25 great nurseries
that sell perennials, exotics, bulbs and rare or specialist
plants-22 of which operate a mail order business. Among those
getting a thumbs up are Avon Bulbs, Chiltern Seeds and
Hampshire Carnivorous Plants.

Rumours are circulating that Amazon is bringing its
shoes and handbags site Endless.com to the
UK in a bid to increase its share of online apparel and
accessories market.
