The Communication Workers Union announced that 170 postal
workers in North Somerset will launch a 24-hour strike against
Royal Mail on Saturday, reports the Weston Mercury. Rolling strikes in London
were already announced for Wednesday through Friday.

Marks & Spencer promoted Clem Constantine to director of
international expansion, replacing Carl Leaver, who stepped
down in June. Constantine had been director of property and
store design.

Pets at Home is mulling a £700 million stock-market
flotation, according to The Times.

Figleaves, Firebox, Net-a-porter.com, Play.com, and of
course, ASOS are cited in a Financial Times article about UK companies
launched during the original dot-com boom that are still
thriving today.
