News Roundup—ASOS, Woolworths and more has poached Topshop buying director Caren Downie to head its women’s apparel team, says The Times. Among her duties will be overseeing the cataloguer’s addition of close to 3,000 product lines this year. Another Topshop exec, Jane Shepherdson, left last month to join rival retailer Whistles.

Woolworths is using a viral game, a Facebook application and email to support its latest Big Red Book catalogue and gain prospect information for its database, reports NetImperative.
