Debenhams is launching its first Christmas TV advert in six years, notes the Express.

Nick Robertson has quashed rumours that Amazon is looking to buy ASOS , telling CityAM that he has not spoken to Amazon in three years. Speaking of Amazon, the online giant’s third-quarter results revealed a larger-than-anticipated loss, weighed down by its investment in daily-deals service LivingSocial, spending on its Kindle business and overseas expansion. Net loss was $274 million in the third quarter, compared with net income of $63 million in the same period last year.

British brand Hackett, whose clothes have been modelled by rugby player Jonny Wilkinson and tennis player Andy Murray, grew sales by 27 per cent to £96 million in the year ending 31st March, reports the Telegraph. Pretax profit was up 26.5 per cent to £6.2 million. The brand also said it was opening up in China, Malaysia and India next year through franchise partners.
