After announcing that its chocolate bonds raised £3.7
million, Hotel Chocolat has vowed to expand its
Cambridgeshire factory and create up to 400 new jobs. The

According to Hitwise data, online auction website
eBay is the most visited shopping website in the
UK, Australia and Singapore, while Amazon takes
second place. In the US, Amazon takes the top spot, followed by
Walmart and Target. The

Having bought Blooming Marvellous yesterday for
a rumoured £3 million (says the Telegraph), Mothercare is
back on the acquisition trail. This morning it confirmed it was
in discussions to acquire a 25 percent stake in Headline Group,
the company that operates the Mothercare and
Early Learning Centre franchises in Australia
and New Zealand.

Apparel retailer Jigsaw posted a pretax loss of
£7.3 million for the 53 weeks to 3rd October 2009. This
represents a 49 per cent decline compared to £3.7 million the
previous year, according to an article in the Independent. However, the company, which also
operates apparel brand Kew, said it is debt-free
and that trading to the year ending this October will be
“significantly improved”.

ASOS founder Nick Robertson is £15 million
richer this week after selling a fifth of his shares in the
business. According to the Guardian, this does not signal that Robertson
is taking a step back from the firm he founded ten years
ago.
