for its UK business.

the retailer doesn’t offer value for money.

Stamp and collectibles specialist Stanley
Gibbons delivered a record-breaking performance in 2011.
Sales were up 35 per cent to £35.7 million in the year ended
31st December. Following the relaunch of its flagship website,
online sales soared-up 72 per cent to £4.3 million. Statutory
pretax profit was £5.1 million, up 19 per cent of the
£4.3 million achieved in 2010.

Lovefilm subscribers streamed more films and TV
series over the internet than rented DVDs, Blu-rays and games
last month, reports the company. The number of films and TV
episodes streamed online through internet-connected devices
including games consoles and connected TVs exceeded the number of
DVDs, Blu-rays and games rented by more than 20 per cent,
representing a year-on-year increase of more than 400 per cent.
Rental volume is also growing, up 25 per cent over the year.

Trusted Shops, a European accreditation of online shops, is
launching its Trustmark, buyer protection, seller rating and
customer service offerings into the UK.
