According to reports, French conglomerate PPR is set to announce the sale of its Redcats mail order business before the end of the month. Chief executive Francois-Henri Pinault is understood to have said a disclosure regarding the sale of Redcats would likely be announced before the company’s third-quarter sales results on 25th October. Redcats’ brands include La Redoute and Daxon in the UK.
Fashion brand Bench is extending its overseas reach with an eCommerce website for the US market. The site was designed and built by online marketing agency PushON.
In more international news, France-based crystal specialist Baccarat has followed the launch of its US website with a French site. Working with digital agency eCommera, three more online shops are due to launch in Europe (Germany, Italy, UK) this autumn. Further developments are also planned for China and Japan.
Vegetarian Shoes, an online seller of footwear, has launched a mobile version of its website, built using the Cyrane Mobile module.
