Apparel brand Rampant Sporting, in which
Joules has a stake, is opening its first store
this week, in Exeter. The company was founded by Richard Hurtley,
who started out selling rugby socks online and via events in
2007. The brand was conceived in 2005 while Hurtley was a student
at Exeter University.

Retail sales were down 1.9 per cent in March, the biggest monthly
fall since 1995, reports the Telegraph.

Music and DVD retailer HMV has released an app
for its games trade-in offer. Available on iPhone and Android
platforms, the re/play app enables customers to check the latest
trade-in value of their video games and consoles, it then feeds
back an up-to-date price they can expect to receive as a credit
from HMV against other purchases, they may wish to make in-store.
HMV already has a transactional app for its main product range,
as well as an app for its Purehmv loyalty scheme.

Doug McCallum currently senior vice president for Europe at
eBay will join grocery etailer
Ocado as a nonexecutive director on 3rd October
2011.

Email marketing software provider Emailvision is
to acquire SmartFocus, a provider of
multichannel marketing and analytics software, for approximately
£25.3 million in cash.

Troy Munns has joined apparel etailer
My-Wardrobe as head of menswear. He was
previously digital marketing manager at
ASOS.com.
