Fourth-quarter sales at tools cataloguer/retailer Screwfix rose 4.2 per cent, to £115 million, “driven by the continued rollout of trade counters,” according to a statement from parent company Kingfisher. Total fourth-quarter sales for the company, which also owns DIY retailer B&Q, rose 11.2 per cent, to £2.345 million, despite a 4.2 per cent decline in UK sales.

“The number of online searches for retail discount vouchers jumped a massive 143 per cent in the final quarter of last year,” reports The Telegraph.

Cataloguers Wall and The White Company are among the retailers cited by The Times as good sources of loungewear.

Net-a-porter.com founder Natalie Massenet and ASOS founder Nick Robertson made The Independent’s list of Britain’s top 50 style makers.
