A review of the management structure at mail order giant Shop Direct Group, which operates Littlewoods, Empire Stores and Great Universal, will see up to 100 management jobs lost and “a number of new roles” created according to a company statement. Group chief executive Mark Newton-Jones said that “the new organisational structure will better reflect the way we now wish to operate which is as an online rather than catalogue-based retailer”.
Shares at fashion etailer ASOS.com rose 7.25p to 358p in early trading this morning after the company’s AGM revealed that sales had doubled.
