The Hut Group has appointed Barclays Capital and
brokers Numis and Altium as its advisers ahead of its planned
float, reports the Financial Times. Preparations will start in
September for a listing this winter.

Struggling music and DVD chain HMV saw its net
debt more than double in the year to 30th April, from £67.6
million in 2010 to £170.7 million. The company, which
recently sold off its Waterstone’s bookstore
chain and Canadian business unit, made a total group loss, after
tax and exceptional items including impairment charges, of
£121.7 million, compared with a profit of £49.2 million
last year.

Debenhams’ mobile shopping app, launched in
October 2010, has surpassed 500,000 downloads and has recorded
its first £1 million of sales.

Fashion etailer Boohoo is sponsoring Sky1’s new
TV show Teen Wolf with a three-month campaign.

Shareholders and former shareholders in
Debenhams, Burton, and
Arcadia are considering taking legal action over
losses that date back to 1997, reports the Telegraph.

The Telegraph enters Daily Mail territory with an
