Discount department store chain TJ Hughes has undergone a management buyout backed by private equity firm Endless. Its previous owner, Silverfleet Capital, had bought the business in 2003 and in that time grown the store portfolio from 37 to 57 stores.
Former M&S chairman Stuart Rose has taken a stake in online retailer and eCommerce services provider The Hut Group, reports the Mail on Sunday. The move is seen as an indicator that Rose will join the business as a nonexecutive director when the business floats.
