Berkshire-based Walker Logistics has been awarded the contract to manage the downstream UK supply chain for a new sporting and lifestyle brand, which has been developed by the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) and its master licensee, King of Games Ltd.
The brand, Hurlingham Polo 1875, has been launched online by HPA’s licensing partner and includes a range of ‘on field’ apparel and accessories
Additional sporting and lifestyle products will be developed for delivery in Spring 2017 as the HPA seeks to build the brand globally.
Initially, as a UK-wide network of high street stockists for the Hurlingham Polo 1875 range is developed and overseas distribution partners are appointed, Walker will hold a limited number
of SKUs but this will ramp up significantly over the coming months.
As awareness of the brand awareness grows, the fulfilment of B2C Internet orders is expected to be a significant part of Walker’s role.
Walker Logistics’ Charlie Walker will manage the account. He commented: “As a keen polo player myself the potential of the Hurlingham Polo Association brand is obvious. The HPA has 140 years of history and heritage behind it and the Hurlingham name is renowned as truly British, so it is very exciting to be working with HPA and Kings of Games Ltd to develop what is expected to become a leading global business.”
