Amazon Prime members in the UK are to be offered fashion lines on approval. Modelled on the service long offered by British mail order businesses, but with restrictions on the number of items that can be ordered at a time, customers can choose and pay for the items they want to keep and return those they do not want at no charge. Amazon’s own label ranges as well as those of a broad number of merchant partners are on offer with brands including Ted Baker, LK Bennett and French Connection, joined by the likes of Calvin Klein, Esprit and Vans. Customers are being incentivised to trial the service with a token £5 discount if keeping products worth £100+, rising to £20 if they keep and pay for £200 worth.
Amazon VP of Amazon EU Retail Xavier Garamabois commented: “Fit is an important factor when it comes to buying clothes and shoes, and with Prime Wardrobe, Amazon Prime members can try their purchases in the comfort of their own home at no extra cost.”
