Elvi, a retailer of plus-size fashion for women, called
in administrators Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery on Friday.
They hope to sell the business, which includes an eCommerce
site, as a going concern, reports the Manchester Evening News. Elvi had been
bought out of administration just last year.
Mosaic Fashions, which includes retailers Coast,
Karen Millen, Principles, and Shoe Studio, is
expected to go into a prepack administration this week.
According to The Guardian, Shoe Studio and Principles
are likely to be sold off, with the other brands retained.
US equity firm KPS Capital Partners has bought
manufacturer/marketer Waterford Wedgwood out of
administration. But according to Ireland’s Sunday Business Post, it has not agreed to
take over the crystal manufacturing plant, which employs more
than 700 people.
Continuing its European expansion, Mouser
Electronics has opened its first UK office and its second
in Europe. According to Electronics Weekly, the High Wycombe
customer support centre will cover Scandinavia and South Africa
as well as the UK and Ireland.
