Following continuous growth over the last 16 years in family ownership, Nick Jubert, managing director of Denny’s Uniforms, has led a management buyout of the business. When the family voted to sell its shareholding, Jubert saw the opportunity to buy the business and lead it through the next chapter in its 170-year history. Along with sales director, Dominic Green, the staff in its London stores and Leatherhead headquarters and distribution centre, will continue to supply the hospitality market with uniforms and workwear, streamlining operations and developing the Denny’s, Le Chef, AFD and Comfort Grip brands.
SuperGroup, the owner of the Superdry brand, is understood to be exiting its wholesale contract with ASOS.com. According to a Bloomberg article, SuperGroup “is reducing its wholesale channels in the UK as it expands its retail operations and invests in eCommerce”.
Discount apparel retailer M and M Direct is planning a radical overhaul of its eCommerce website, due to be unveiled next month. The online retailer/cataloguer, which has 1.2 million active customers, appointed eCommerce technology company Fredhopper to roll out on-site search and merchandising tools ahead of the relaunch.
