John Hodge, formerly retail marketing manager at
toys, games, gifts and gadgets supplier Tobar, has joined the
RSPB as its new mail order and eCommerce manager, replacing
Devra O’Gara.

TV home shopping specialist JML has promoted managing director
Ken Daly to chief executive officer.
In more TV shopping news, QVC has promoted Steve
Hoffmann to chief executive officer, QVC Europe,
reporting to QVC president and chief executive Mike
George. Hofmann, who will maintain his current
responsibility as chief executive of QVC Italy will continue to
be based in Milan and will now oversee QVC’s European markets
including the UK and Germany. QVC has also promoted Gregg
Bertoni to chief merchandising officer and Paolo
Penati to chief operating officer and chief financial
officer at QVC Italy.
Gwynn Milligan has moved from Cocosa, where she
held the post of managing director, to apparel retailer Reiss in
the newly created role of trading director. She will be
responsible for the firm’s buying and merchandising.
Multichannel retailer White Stuff has announced a raft of
managerial appointments that see Moss Bros chairman
Debbie Hewitt join as chairman; Nick
Mather join as chief financial officer from La Senza;
former House of Fraser director of merchandising Jo
Penny appointed merchandising director; Antonia
Long, who has held roles at House of Fraser, Coast and
Oasis made buying and design director and Ian
McMillan named IT director, joining from the Change
Management Group. White Stuff also confirmed that Katie
Grassby has stepped down from the overall leadership of
the buying and design function to become style director, while
Vince Gwilliam steps down as chairman to take on
a senior nonexecutive role. Richard Steele,
currently finance director, leaves the company at the end of
June. Led by chief executive Sally Bailey, White
Stuff plans to open at least six new stores in the next financial
year, as well as pursue international opportunities.
Mobile accessories etailer Mobile Fun has hired Teresa
Gualtieri as its Italian manager. She will be based in
the UK for an initial six months to focus on localising Mobile
Fun’s Italian site before returning to Italy to manage the set-up
of Mobile Fun’s Italian office.

Naomi Dewell has joined British gift and gadget
developer ThumbsUp as buying manager after leaving The White
Company. Her remit covers working closely with ThumbsUp’s product
development team on merchandising initiatives and bringing new
ranges to market.
Social commerce services provider Reevoo announced the
appointment of Steve Hurn as chief executive
officer to accelerate its international expansion.
Maginus, a provider of multichannel retail and distribution
software, has added to its JunctionMCR team with the appointment
of Andy Hood as head of delivery. He joins
Maginus from Junction Solutions UK.
BT Expedite and Fresca appointed Josh Pert as
chief executive officer.
Simon Borrows, chief investment officer at
international private equity firm 3i, will take charge of the
company’s development strategy following his promotion to chief
executive officer. He succeeds Michael Queen,
who’s held the post for the past three years.
Design and marketing agency Refinery Marketing Communications has
expanded its team with the appointments of Ross
Litherland as account manager, joining from Iris where
he worked on Adidas. Christian Linton joins
Refinery as an account executive from his first job at Creative
Lynx to work within the agency’s Co-operative Group team.
